Recombinant antigens are crucial reagents used in infectious disease research. They are commonly used for developing therapeutic antibodies and vaccines.
Sino Biological has individually designed the world’s largest recombinant viral antigen collection, called ProVir™. These antigens include a complete collection of influenza antigens, a unique coronavirus catalog and several other hard-to-find viral proteins, like RSV, Zika, Cytomegalovirus and Ebola.
The ProVir™ viral antigen bank contains more than 1000 antigens from 90 virus types and subtypes and 350 strains. It is extensively used across the world for infectious disease research, immunological assay, therapeutic antibody evaluation and vaccine development.
The P.1 variant, the B.1.351 variant, the B.1.1.7 variants, and the most latest B.1.617 variant—initially identified in India—specifically pose a major problem due to their high prevalence. Sino Biological has now designed a panel of recombinant RBD/Spike and nucleocapsid protein variants that can be used to assess the efficacy of the vaccination and antibodies.

The ProVir™ collection includes 630+ HA, ME, and NA antigens from more than 250 strains of influenza viruses, such as the pandemic strains and vaccine strains. In the recent past, Sino Biological has provided recombinant flu antigens from all vaccine strains recommended by WHO.

The ProVir™ recombinant antigen series provides antigens from a wide range of viruses linked to several types of infectious diseases, such as Zika, Ebola, and also common viruses, like HPV, RSV and HIV.
