Microwave Digestion Systems

Microwave digestion systems are used for dissolving metals such as tin, mercury, or arsenic for measuring the metal quantity in a sample. Open vessel digestion systems are used for samples weighing 0.5–10 g, in which reagent consumption is 10–100 mL and it takes about 2–10 h to process the sample. Closed vessel digestion systems are used for samples weighing 0.1–1 g, with reagent consumption in the range of 2–10 mL and a sample processing time of about 15–60 min. The products are made of fluoroplastics or glass or quartz or glassy carbon to withstand temperatures of 260 °C, resist against aggressive acids, and stay water repellent. Microwave Digestive systems are used in forensics, metallurgy, drug research, mining, agriculture, manufacturing, petrochemical, environmental, and clinical applications.
