An annuloplasty system is a device that is implanted around an incompetent cardiac valve to restore blood flow. It is used to pull faulty leaflets together and re-establish the sealing of the valve and therefore its function. Available as bands or rings, the devices are often highly flexible allowing adaptability to annular size and eliminating the need for traditional sizing.
